The Peggy Glanville-Hicks Composers House Trust

Shane Simpson, Chairman of the Peggy Glanville-Hicks Trust announced today the appointment of three additional Trustees: Andrew Ford, composer and broadcaster, Marshall McGuire, harpist and musicologist, and Professor Ross Steele.
The Trust directs the Peggy Glanville-Hicks Composers' House in Paddington, Sydney, and invites composers to take up residence gratis for a negotiated period.
The Composers' House was the residence of leading composer the late Peggy Glanville-Hicks and was her gift to the future of Australian music. She died in 1990.
Previous Fellows have been composers Gordon Kerry, Liza Lim, Elliott Gyger, Julian Yu, Elena Kats-Chernin, Michael Whiticker, Marshall McGuire, Andrew Ford, Robert Griffin Morgan, Matthew Hindson, Paul Stanhope and Mary Finsterer.
Shane Simpson also announces the appointment of Thomas Fitzgerald, Melbourne, as the next Fellow to the Peggy Glanville-Hicks Composers' House.
The Peggy Glanville-Hicks Composers' House is the only one its kind in Australia and has been in operation since 1993.
