Adelaide Fringe 2006 calls for artists and designers

The Adelaide Fringe Festival is calling for artists and designers in the lead-up to the 2006 Festival.
Registration for participation in the Festival, the largest arts event in the southern hemisphere – is now open and closes on Friday October 14th 2005.
Designers and budding artists are also being invited to submit their entry for the official festival poster, to be unveiled in November 2005. The winning entry is destined to become the image synonymous with Adelaide Fringe 2006.
Karen Hadfield, Artistic Director of Adelaide Fringe 2006: “This is a very exciting time for Adelaide Fringe. Over the next few months, the content and the look for Adelaide Fringe 2006 will be discovered as literally thousands of artists register and entries for the poster competition come flooding in.”
Entries close for the poster competition at 5pm on Friday July 29th.
The Adelaide Fringe is Australia’s largest arts festival and the second largest Fringe festival in the world. It is held every two years in February-March, coinciding with the biennial Adelaide Festival of Arts.
The Adelaide Fringe Festival 2006 will run from 24 February to 19 March.
