Robert Jacks Drawing Prize: shortlisted artists announced

Now in its second year, the Robert Jacks Drawing Prize opened to the public on 27 September.

More than 180 entries were received from around Australia, with 44 artists selected to participate. The exhibition and prize is open to all forms of drawing medium and the winning entry will receive a cash prize of $5000. The judge for this year’s prize is Zara Stanhope, Senior Curator Heide Museum of Modern Art.

Robert Jacks has donated funding for the prize. Mr Jacks is recognised as one of Australia’s most significant and accomplished abstract artists, living and working in Harcourt, central Victoria.

The winner of the Robert Jacks Drawing Prize for 2003 will be announced at the official opening on Saturday 4 October between 2-4pm.
